Arett Sales Partners with P&G to Move Remnant Product!

Arett Sales has embarked on an exciting new venture with Procter & Gamble (P&G)!

Over the past six months to a year, Arett Sales has embarked on an exciting new venture with Procter & Gamble (P&G). We are partnering with them to sell their remnant products to major retailers such as TJ Maxx, Burlington, and Ross. These products include old, excess, and discontinued items that P&G is looking to move to make room for new products.
This initiative requires significant coordination between Arett Sales, our customers, and P&G to ensure smooth operations. We are proud to announce that by the end of June, we will have completed our second round of remnant buys, totaling over $10 million in purchases from P&G this year.
Special recognition goes to Jay Toren and Amber Brown for their outstanding leadership on this project (including Amber staying up until midnight to submit POs when they are first made available). However, it is important to acknowledge that this success is a true team effort. Many individuals have contributed significantly, including Rose, Daniel, Stephen, Tony, Ferdie, Bruce, Bernie, Bill Grody, Linda, Jenny, Tom, and Randy.
Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and dedication to making this venture a success!

Arett Sales Open West Coast Facility!

Arett proudly began shipping from our new west coast warehouse in Fairfield, California!

In April, Arett proudly began shipping from our new west coast warehouse in Fairfield, California, just outside Sacramento. This initiative began in November 2023, when we started looking for a facility to service our national chain business on the west coast.
The search, led by Bruce and Bernie, concluded with a partnership with Hydrofarm, a current manufacturer partner of Arett with distribution centers nationwide. In just three months, our dedicated team visited a Hydrofarm facility to ensure their operations could meet our needs, conducted a comprehensive freight and profitability analysis, negotiated a multi-year agreement, and implemented necessary system modifications for efficient inventory and order management.
So far, we’ve shipped nearly $1 million worth of products to Home Depot and Ace Hardware, significantly improving our service level on the west coast. This is a notable achievement, as our previous west coast partner struggled with service issues for over a year. We’re now finalizing our EDI connection with Hydrofarm, which will further enhance our service levels, streamline our inventory, and order management processes.
Simultaneously, we’ve onboarded a 14-member west coast sales rep team and introduced over 25 new programs, including our newly launched Arett Pottery Showcase programs.
Many Arett team members played crucial roles in this successful launch. We want to specifically acknowledge Daniel Gross, Jay Toren, Amber Brown, Steve Marut, Mike Tuterice, Tom Patteson, Randy Plank, Lisa Amaro, and Kate Cuffee for their outstanding contributions. Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and dedication in making this launch a success!
