Phoebe Holdridge, Midge Holdridge, Allie Holdridge, Shari Holdridge Hewes

Women of Holdridge Farm

These Women are being recognized by Shari Hewes, President of Holdridge Farm Nursery, Inc. dba Holdridge Home and Garden

These women have put in a total of 110 years at Holdridge Farm Nursery. Shari (far right) has been 26 years as General Manger, but involved in business since a child. All of the fore mentioned women have worked tirelessly with their husbands and sons in building and sustaining the business. In the early 1900’s the women were not recognized but were often times the backbone and support to keeping the business running tirelessly. Over time, each generation of women have played a bigger role in the public and community – being recognized as “the one to get it done”. By leading by example, women have become more and more recognized and representing that “yes, we can do it”.
